We make it of the upmost importance to maintain our young clients expectations. We make all our clients aware that it is such a competitive industry and that the audition itself is a fantastic opportunity and should be a positive experience.

How often will my child get castings ?

The performing arts industry is extremely unpredictable and it is always evolving and going into production. It is hard to say how many castings your child will get but we make it our aim for all clients to be submitted for the roles they are right for. There are lots of opportunities out there, however it is a competitive industry.

Where will the auditions be held?

The majority of castings can be in the capital London. It is possible for casting directors to request self tapes initially. There are lots of regional TV, film and theatre productions that require more local children these can be held UK wide.

HOW DO I HEAR ABOUT CASTINGS?

Achieve Arts Agency will get in contact with you regarding all the details of the casting. We will also inform our clients of what to prepare if necessary and support them on this. Achieve Arts Agency make it their priority that all our young clients are 100% prepared for castings, to appear confident and professional, making the whole experience a positive one.

do we hear feedback from casting directors?

Due to the volume of young people casting directors see, we tell all our clients not to expect it. If we do hear anything, we always pass it on asap, especially if our young clients have a recall.

Does my child get paid?

This varies from job to job however we always negotiate the best fee possible. We encourage all Achieve Arts Agency clients to see professional jobs as an extension of learning their craft.

how much notice do we get before auditions?

It is not unusual to get 24 hours notice for castings (especially for commercials). However it can be anything from a week to a few days, it varies depending on the job . Achieve Arts Agency will always aim to secure a convenient time slot as best we can.

what are the legal requirements?

When any of our clients under the age of 16 secure a paid role they must be authorised from their local education authority to do the work. They also have to get an authorisation letter from school. On occasional circumstances they might have to receive a medical to ensure they are fit to undertake the role. Under 16's are only licenced to work for a certain amount of days per year.
